March 17, 2020
Our Embassy Bank leadership team has been closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and in the interest of serving the health and safety of our entire community, we are closing our branch lobbies effective March 18, 2020 until further notice. As always, we remain committed to serving your needs and our team will work diligently to do so with as little disruption as possible.
We realize this is a fluid situation and will continue to adapt as we always have. In the meantime, we have put the following in place for you:
Customers will be able to utilize our drive-thru services during normal business hours to conduct routine banking transactions (deposits, cash withdrawals, loan payments etc.). Our ATMs will be available for cash withdrawals and Embassy Bank customer deposits, and the night drop will serve as another resource for deposits and loan payments. Our ATM and Night Drops are available 24/7. You may also get cash back when making purchases at many grocery stores or at service-charge free local ATMs, such as those located within WAWA stores.
Please note: Our Macungie office does not currently offer drive-thru, ATM or night drop services, thus this location will be closed. Please visit any of our 8 other Embassy Bank locations if you require any of these services.
Online and Mobile Banking are available 24/7/365 for your convenience. You can check your balances, transfer funds, view recent transactions and pay bills. With the Mobile Banking app, you can also make deposits at your convenience, anytime and anywhere.
If you need to access your safe deposit box or have a loan need (such as a settlement), please contact your branch office to arrange an appointment so we can serve you safely during regular banking hours: Monday through Thursday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM, Friday from 9:00AM to 6:00PM, and Saturday 9:00AM to Noon.
You may open a new personal deposit account or apply for a mortgage or home equity loan online at www.embassybank.com. If you prefer personalized assistance, feel free to call us during banking hours.
Make in-store or online purchases securely using Google Pay and Apple Pay. If you have not done so, simply download the appropriate app for your device and add your Embassy Bank Debit Card to your Google Pay or Apple Pay account. For added protection, we recommend signing up for Card Valet and Debit Card Fraud Text Alerts. Card Valet is an app that allows you to set controls and parameters on your debit card account, and Debit Card Fraud Text Alerts send you notifications if there is suspicious transaction activity made with your Embassy Bank Debit Card.

A message from the PA Department of Banking and Securities for ways to be safe from opportunists who will try and take advantage of them during major events such as the current COVID-19 situation:
"Consumers should be on alert for increased fraud during major events such as the outbreak of COVID-19," said Acting Secretary Richard Vague. "Scams are becoming increasingly more sophisticated and scam artists are taking advantage of people, making every attempt to separate you from your hard-earned money."
Cybercriminals like to take advantage of incidents such as the coronavirus threat to entice people to click on phishing emails and conduct social engineering attacks. Cybercriminals may send malware‐laced emails with attachments and links to websites that can harvest your private information and passwords to exploit your personal and corporate accounts. It is important to remain diligent in reviewing emails to ensure they are safe.
