Fraudsters Are Faking Our Number—Here’s What You Need to Know
A scam involving spoofed phone calls - where fraudsters disguise their caller ID to appear as if they’re calling from the bank - is on the rise.
The bank will never call you to ask for your online banking password, security codes, or full account numbers over the phone.
Red Flags to Watch For:
- The caller ID shows the bank’s name or number, but the call is not legitimate.
- The caller pressures you to share login credentials or sensitive information.
- They create a sense of urgency, demanding immediate payment of “owed” funds or that a potentially fraudulent transaction is leaving your account.
- The payment request lacks supporting documentation and comes through unusual channels.
Protect Yourself:
- The bank will never call you to ask for your online banking password, security codes, or full account numbers over the phone.
- If a call feels suspicious, hang up immediately and contact us directly using our official phone number: 610-882-8800.
- Always verify payment requests through an independent source before taking any action.
Unfortunately, spoofed calls are becoming more common. Even if our number appears on your caller ID, it does not guarantee the call is legitimate.
Your security is our priority. Stay vigilant and reach out to us with any concerns.
